Mike is currently producing 4 major films– and one of them stars Javier Bardem! Come see him in person at the ITSA Film Festival on September 30th – October 1st.

2011 ECA Films to Screen at ITSA Film Fest

Sept 30 - Oct 1

ITSA Film Festival is receiving eight honored films from the 2011 Emerging Cinematographer Awards, including one called “Not Your Time”, starring Jason Alexander (George from Seinfeld). ITSA is presenting these films just five days after their première at the Director’s Guild of America Theater in Los Angeles. This is a huge honor as ITSA film festival attendees will see these films even before the DGA’s own New York event. The films will be screened at ITSA’s Opening Night Gala, September 30th at the Sonora Opera Hall.

From the website:

Come out and enjoy the finest short films and animations in the beautiful historic town of Groveland, California, just 25 miles from Yosemite National Park. Each year in October in the goldrush mountain town of Groveland, the ITSA Film Festival comes to life.

This years festival is tentatively on September 30 – October 1, 2011.

Film enthusiasts embark on this cerebral event to discover talent, imagination and have a good time.

The ITSA Film Festival is not just any film festival. It’s about discovering the gold or in this case, ‘the stars’ not only on film but behind the camera. We work hard in bringing quality short films and animations that everyone can enjoy. Our inaugural year in October 2010 brought “The Endgame Study” by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Lance Mazmanian, “The Assembly Line” by Bay Area filmmaker Matthew Vanderzee as well as some shorts by brothers, James and David Codeglia of Ghostlight Studios.

While we are awarding “Best of Show” in several film categories, we take great pride in not becoming about the competition, but about celebrating some of the best short films and animations in the world.

So whether you’re submitting one of your own films or coming out and just screening, there’s something that is sure to appeal to everyone.
